One Love; By Bob marley and UNICEF
Hi Everyone,
Here is a version of Bob Marley's song One Love. It has been released as a collaboration between UNICEF and Bob Marley's family to raise money for children affected by the COVID 19 pandemic. It also provides a most enjoyable way to learn a bit of vocabulary for the English language learners of Alpens 😊
One Love (in support of UNICEF)
And here is a link to UNICEF's Website in case you would like to know more:
Here is a message from Bob Marley's daugther, Cedella:
“Over 40 years ago, my father wrote One Love about unity, peace and universal love during a time when there was much trouble in the world.
Even in a time when we aren’t able to get together, his message remains true today, we can get through this global crisis if we come together through one love and one heart.”
And here are the lyrics of the song. What is the meaning of the line, "Let's get together and feel alright"? Leave you answer in the comments below!:
One heart
Let's get together and feel alright
(hear the children crying)
One heart (sayin')
Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel alright (sayin')
Let's get together and feel alright
(whoa whoa whoa whoa)
There is one question I'd really love to ask (one heart)
Is there a place for the hopeless sinners
Who has hurt all mankind just to save his own (believe)
One heart (what about love)
Let's get together and feel alright (as it was in the beginning)
One heart (alright)
Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel alright
Let's get together and feel alright
(one more thing)
So when the Man come, there will be no no doom (one song)
Have pity on those whose chances grows thinner
There ain't no hiding place from the Father of creation (sayin')
One heart (what about love)
Let's get together and feel alright (I'm pleading to mankind)
One heart (oh oh)
Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel alright
Let's get together and feel alright
(give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel alright)
